with elegance of motion typical of Siglavie type. One of only a few *Salon sons still breeding in America as well as being one of a very few
readily trainable get of *Salon. *Salon (Negatiw x Sonata) born in 1959 at Tersk Stud, earned the Certificate of First Degree at
the 1969 Moscow All-Union
Exhibit. Exported to Germany and rated "Class I". *Salon was Imported to the USA in 1980 at Make Believe Farms. Stud
fees were once $15,000! *Salon sired over 200 foals including U.S. and
Canadian National Champion *Muscat, a Naseem-Priboj stallion. Other great horses close up in
Pistaschio's pedigree include in Kniazj, sire of over 100 foals in Europe.
Kniazj is out of Kipuchaia, a
Pomeranets daughter. Naslednik by Nil is the successor to
the sire line of El
Deree, Naslednik was the 1978 All USSR Champion
Stallion. Naslednik's dam was Nitochka, a
full sister to Negatiw the sire of *Salon. Also, one will find Arax an
Amurath Sahib
stallion that was used in Poland and extensively in
Russia. Pistaschio's tail female line traces through *Panntera to *Panama of
Tersk, an Arax daughter with a big trot that did
well as an import in America. *Panama of Tersk's dam was Platina (Priboj x Taktika) a full sister to *Pietuszok, Topol, and Ptashka. |
