This line bred stallion readily passes speed, structure, superior
intelligence, correct confirmation and amazing athleticism to his get. Protocall is the
sire of Pygmalion (x
Provocative Lady). Pygmalion
was one of six Endurance horses selected to represent the United States
at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen Germany. Pygmalion
was the top US finishers in the 100 mile World Championship endurance
ride and finished 15th overall. The exceptional athletic ability of
this line is also evident in Protocall's
full brother Reason To
Believe
who was crowned the 2006 National Endurance Champion, the 2007 Reserve
Champion and was the leading contender at the 2008 FEI world endurance
championship in Malaysia.
Another full Brother, the then three year old Tak won the 1993
California Racing Futurity followed by an impressive 1994 racing
season. After Tak's
expotration to the United Arab Emirates he exhibited a stellar five

for their beauty and Arabian type in Russia. The chestnut Salon daughter Carolina out of the Kanitel grand
daughter Karta
(Arax x Kapella) was exceptionally beautiful and when bred to Pesniar produced the
bay mare Kupava.

Thus in this part of the pedigree we have individuals of excellent
type. We then add to this perigee the profound athletic abilities of Arax and Priboj through Oratus. Oratus is of

daughter of Nomenklatura
(the queen of Tersk) again noted for great beauty, and by the super
racehorse Semen.

correctness. She produced outstanding athletes when bred to Pyatigorsk. Now bred

In Loving Memory Of Pistaschio
April 01, 1983 to December 26, 2009
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our
great stallion Pistaschio.
We first met Pistaschio in a huge green pasture in
Mossyrock, Washington in 2004. We were in awe when we noticed he was living
with a band of mares and playing with his babies. Of course he immediately came
over to inspect the strangers in his pasture. He was a large stallion with a
huge presence. Once he gave us his approval, he was as gentle as a pussy cat.
After we played with him, he allowed us to meet his mares and babies. We
remember wondering if we would ever be able to own a stallion of this caliber. After
learning more about Pistaschio we found he had a very interesting life. He was
one of the last Salon sons still standing. He was on the race track for several
years during his early life and was in the money in over fifty percent of his
races. Dale and Wyona Worthington of Dana Arabians owned and used him as a sire
to produce many exceptional offspring including Dana Sierra and Paige. In 1994
Pistaschio was purchased by Dr. George Allen and moved to Mossyrock, Washington
to become part of the legendary Willomar herd. We purchased Pistaschio in 2008,
our dream had come true. Pistaschio produced many exceptional foals for us most
notably Kold Fussion, Unbelievable Dream (champion Sport Horse Mare) and O My
Goodness. Sturgeon creek Arabians used him with great success and are now
standing his son Philosophy. Pistaschio’s life was full and extremely valuable
to the Arabian breed. We are very fortunate to have been part of Pistaschio’s
life. We will continue to preserve his line through his offspring, and his
memory will always be in our hearts and minds. We know Pistaschio is in a large
green pasture with mares and playing with his babies.

A stakes winning race horse with
three track records to his credit, Pistaschio
is an excellent representative of the Naseem sire line
with elegance of motion typical of Siglavie type. One of only a few *Salon sons still
breeding in America as well as being one of a very few readily
trainable get of *Salon.
*Salon (Negatiw x Sonata) born in 1959
at Tersk Stud, earned the Certificate of First Degree at the 1969
Moscow All-Union Exhibit. Exported to Germany and rated "Class I".
*Salon was Imported to the USA in 1980 at Make Believe Farms. Stud fees
were once $15,000! *Salon
sired over 200 foals including U.S. and Canadian National Champion *Muscat, a Naseem-Priboj stallion.
Other great horses close up in Pistaschio's
pedigree include in Kniazj,
sire of over 100 foals in Europe. Kniazj
is out of Kipuchaia,
a Pomeranets daughter.
Naslednik
by Nil
is the successor to the sire line of El Deree, Naslednik was the
1978 All USSR Champion Stallion. Naslednik's
dam was Nitochka,
a full sister to Negatiw
the sire of *Salon.

Sahib stallion that was used in Poland and extensively in
Russia. Pistaschio's
tail female line traces through *Panntera
to *Panama of Tersk,
