Foaled at Tersk in 1958 and a full
brother to Pietuszok, Topol did not sire his first foal until the age of 13 and
then sired 68 purebred foals at Tersk. Topol was a Russian Triple Crown winner
and recipient of the Certificate of 1st Degree (equivalent to a National Top Ten
in North America). After Priboj died in 1957 his son Pomeranets (x Mammona)
took his place at Tersk, it wasn't until 1971 when Pomeranets could no longer
settle mares that Topol bred his first mare. Topol was an exceptional athlete
and was able to pass these abilities to his offspring, Topol was very successful
as a sire at Tersk, where he spent his entire life.
